What’s the Best Thread lift to have in my 30s?
Let’s face it, we all get to that point in our lives when we wake up in the morning, mosey on over to the bathroom, look at ourselves in the mirror and like opening a time capsule, we see life’s scribblings on our face. Almost horrified by the unsightly – supposedly sudden – appearance of fine lines, deep creases, small pouches, sagging skin and overall changes in our facial contours.
Oh no, what’s wrong? am I getting old already? I’m only in my 30s… my parents showed no signs of aging at my age…maybe I just slept badly…true, my job has been quite stressful lately, so it’s probably time to take a week off and go somewhere to rest… I’m sure that will do the trick…(NOT!)
And In spite of a temporary onset of mild depression, your higher self sets out to search for a quick fix, anti-aging solution. Maybe taking that vacation, going for a long run in the park, shopping for a new makeup base or moisturizer or night cream which all promise to do the trick, instantly and reverse the changes. If not, then going to visit the dermatologist or plastic surgeon is next. The ‘happiness hormones’ return as you triumph over your determination to reverse the done damage and stall the ongoing process for as many years as you can.
The two realities of seeing visible signs of aging on your Face
Well, let’s start by saying that the first reality of aging is that its visible signs appear in a very subtle and slow manner, not overnight. The second reality is that they can already show in your early or mid 30’s and become so disconcerting as to cause you to become emotionally stressed out or depressed.
The Aging Face
As we age there are certain physiological processes that take place in the face that yield the hallmark appearance of old age. Some of these include a decrease in skin quality, fat atrophy, loss of volume and elasticity. Most commonly seen in the mid- and lower face, we see a loss of volume in the malar (cheek area), deepening of the nano-labial folds, marionette lines, jowl formation, and skin wrinkles just to name a few.
Although there are a lot of different products available on the market promising numerous stunning and instantaneous effects, we mostly recommend these as part of your complimentary facial skin care program. Using the right moisturizer and sunscreen on a daily basis is really important to maintaining healthy, vital skin and a more youthful appearance long-term. On the other hand, they are not considered to be a primary solution for your troubles.

A Visit to the Dermatologist – Laser skin Treatment
Choosing the right dermatologist is one of the most important steps you can take to maintain healthy, glowing skin for the long-term. Many dermatologists have some type of certification or specialization in laser skin treatment and laser technology. This technology has come a really long way over the last 2 decades and provides a wide variety of options for maintaining youthful skin. Many studies have already shown that younger patients who start regular laser skin treatments in their 30s show the visible signs of aging later and when the signs do appear, they’re likely to be more subtle than those who start treatment later when more damage to the skin has already been done.
Lasers penetrate deeply into the skin epidermal and dermal layers and their thermal heating effect stimulates the immediate contraction of collagen, a connective tissue material naturally occurring in your skin. Collagen maintains the structure and tensile strength of your skin in youth but gradually decreases with age causing laxity. This heat contraction tightens your skin instantaneously giving you the desired results.
Skin Texture and Tone
Lasers also stimulate the production of NEW collagen, a process -albeit difficult to pronounce – called neocollagenesis in your skin. This new collagen production not only strengthens the structure of your skin (as mentioned above), it adds volume and improves the quality, texture, and tone of your skin. Furthermore, the new collagen continues to increase even up to a year out making the improvement ever better. Some lasers (HALO, Profractional) also resurface the skin as well, which means you’ll get a deep skin peel, which will really clear up your complexion, eradicate old scars (acne included) and fade fine lines, wrinkles and brown patches.
A visit to the plastic surgeon – ‘the facelift’
Making an appointment and having the guts to actually go and visit your plastic surgeon is already a sign that you may be either seriously concerned (perhaps stressed) or seriously ready to take action. You decide. Most people just jest about doing what you’re about to do. And, in my opinion, it’s a good decision. Remember, you’re going to talk and have a consultation, not lie down on the table (Yet!)
Your plastic surgeon has a wide range of knowledge about the latest available treatments tackling the aging effects on the face. The purpose of the consultation is to talk and speak about your concerns, desires, and expectations and for you to understand what options you have on the table. If it so turns out that you wish to wait a bit before making your move, so be it. On the other hand, you may find out that your concerns can be met and managed so effectively with a number of different treatments that you walk out feeling enriched with new knowledge and expectation.
The new you is almost here 🙂
Remember that similarly to the dermatologist, plastic surgeons today are turning more to minimally invasive or non-invasive treatments with newly available technology to meet the needs and desires of their patients. Technology has advanced so much over the last several years that more can be done with less and for less.
Now back to the topic…
As I presume you are in your 30s reading this blog post, I reckon the surgeon won’t be targeting you for a full facelift. A full facelift is the most invasive anti-aging surgery on the face. There are many different types of facelifts and most do involve incisions, longer recovery times and scarring. But there is a type of facelift, on the other hand, that is minimally- or non-invasive with no incisions, no scarring, no downtime, and quick recovery. It’s called a Silhouette Soft thread lift and you may want to consider it. Here’s why.
What is a Silhouette Soft thread lift?
Thin polymer threads with polymer cones (see picture) are inserted through a tiny needle hole into the skin to lift and tighten the loose, sunken areas. No incisions are made and it all works really effectively to counter the effects of gravity and aging on your face. What you need to know is that over time the threads will completely absorb and leave no signs of any foreign materials in your face – which I think is a big plus with Silhouette Soft.
When will I see the results and how long do they last?
After the treatment is done, you’ll look at yourself in the mirror and see a younger and fresher face looking right back at you. You’ll be really pleased with the results which will last up to 18 months or until full resorption. After this point, you may wish to consider having another Silhouette Soft.
How quick is the recovery?
It’s as easy as just coming and going like nothing ever happened. You’ll get a few injections to numb your face and after about an hour, you’re ready to leave the clinic, meet your friends and show off your younger, rejuvenated face.
Am I a good candidate for a Silhouette Soft?
If you feel like your skin has loosened a bit under the neck or jowl lines or gravity has already taken some toll on your cheeks resulting in more prominent nose-mouth lines (usually these are the early signs starting in our 30s) this procedure might be just right for you. Also, it just might be the best alternative for those of you who are not able to have a more invasive procedure due to existing health conditions such as hypertension or diabetes. And finally, for you guys with receding hairlines, you’ll be happy about not having to deal with any permanently visible scar lines
What areas of my face can be treated with the Silhouette Soft?
What changes have you noticed on your face over the recent years? Are your prominent cheeks slowing vanishing or sinking downwards to the level of your mouth? have you lost a little angularity around your jawline and developed a small, seemingly excess skin/fat pouch? Maybe your neck is showing a little rippling effect? Well, you’ll be happy to know that the Silhouette Soft can effectively correct all these areas in 1 simple and quick procedure.
I spoke of this phenomenon above with regards to the laser treatment and its stimulation of new collagen production in the skin. But, did you know that the Silhouette Soft cones – as they resorb – also stimulate the production of new collagen. This means that not only will you get the quick lift and tightening effect right after the treatment, you’ll also see the texture, tone, and volume of your face improve for up to a full year following the treatment. So, it’s like two treatments in one.
How much does a Silhouette Soft cost?
Here in Budapest, generally you can save up to 50% or more on the cost of a facelift and most other plastic surgery procedures compared with that of similar procedures in Western countries. At Medi Tours Hungary, you can also save a paycheck or more on a Silhouette Soft thread lift. For example, treating the midface area will only set you back about €800 while doing the full face, (mid and lower area) and neck costs €1500.
